The impact of digitization on Kenya’s government services is nothing short of remarkable, as evidenced by vivid real-life examples.
One of the standout areas that bear witness to digitization’s resounding success is the provision of citizen services. Through intuitive online free platforms and mobile applications, Kenyan citizens now have seamless access to a vast array of government services. For instance, the government’s groundbreaking eCitizen platform serves as a one-stop digital haven for essential services, spanning from passport applications and driver’s license issuance to birth certificates and business permits. The implementation of this digital marvel has dramatically slashed the time and effort needed for citizens to secure these services, rendering physical visits to government offices obsolete.
