Hongo ni Nini?
Tea brewed not for thirst, but to unstick files,
Chai ya mchana imeshakalisha Mpigs,
A “gift” to make stubborn doors swing wide,
Hongo ni Nini?
Naliaka kuShowup for a job interview and tje only qualifications to that vacancy is “Toa Kitu Kidogo”
It’s the silent tax on dignity.
Give us our daily Bribe!
To make laws bend like sugarcane in a lobbyist’s grip, votes are traded like market tomatoes,
Mpigs na Mwenye nchi wote ni waHongo,so fortunately the shoe imeResist to fit in,causing unrest demanding for immediate arrest kwa jinsi wamekua wakitafuna Hongo bungeni,
Looking forward to day wote wataRushwa behind the bars where they belong, siku ya mwizi ni Arubaini,
Huku Hongo inavaa a three-piece suit.
Hongo ni Nini?
A healthcare provider’s hand outstretched,”kwa ajili ya haraka…”
Wameleta ufisi-adi kwa kazi, where hope meets hustle,
Life care for a hot chai,
Wagonjwa, mothers clutch crying babies wanaRushwa nyuma kwa line
Here Hongo steals breath ,trades life for coins.
Hongo ni Nini?
On the pitch, talent rots in the shadows,
A striker’s goals buried under “agent fees”
“Tusaidiane Kidogo”
Dreams sidelined for fat pockets,
So huku kwa Dimba,it dribbles futures into the abyss.
I heard you love yours served hot, since natoka Kericho where Tea lives,
Kunywa chai, let my child enroll in your Academic School,
So here, minds starve while shortcuts feast.
Hongo ni Nini?
A ghost chocking progress in every sector,
A synonym for rot wrapped in polite smiles,
But what if we brew Chai for Unity, not greed?
What if we rush to lift, not to loot?
Can we speak it’s name then bury it Alive?
