Gen Z in Kenya is emerging as a powerful force in holding leaders accountable. With a
deep understanding of social and political issues, this generation is not afraid to
question authority and demand transparency and integrity from those in power.
Gen Z is using social media as a tool for activism, mobilizing online communities to call
out corruption, demand justice, and push for policy changes. They are participating in
protests, community dialogues, and civic engagement initiatives.
This generation’s activism has a strong sense of social responsibility and a desire to
create a better future. Gen Zs are challenging the status quo and pushing for reforms
that address issues such as unemployment, climate change, and human rights.
Gen Z’s awakening indicates that the youth are no longer passive observers but active
participants in shaping the country’s future. Their efforts are crucial in ensuring that
leaders remain accountable and responsive to the needs of the people.
