KANJO VS BODABODA

Eldoret ni city

Na just like any other city

Boda boda guys hulipia stickers za kuingia CBD

A ticket to pack in town when dropping a client

Hizi stickers ni za commercial motorbikes

Hizi stickers mostly hulipiwa na guys who take customers to town

Kanjo ndo huwa wanaenforce hii rule

Eldoret ni city

Na just like any city

Imewekwa traffic lights

And when it hits RED, magari na bodabodas stop

Shida inaanzia hapa

Kanjos take advantage of this temporary stops

To harass motor cyclers

Juzi I witnessed their discord

An aged man was passing through town on his bike

Without a passenger, without a sticker

Not packing somewhere in the CBD

Just passing

Stopped by the traffic lights for a minute

A minute long enough to attract city council

They demanded a sticker

Hakuwa nayo

He tried to explain he is not of this town he was passing through

Hawakuskia hayo

Mbaba akanyaganywa funguo

Hasira zikapanda

Akaweka boda kando adeal na huyu kanjo

Argument ikaheaten up mbaba rage took over

Akaslap yule kanjo, a big mistake

Kanjo akaita wenzake wakavamia this guy

The man was a bit old

He could not take the blows, akazirai

Bodaboda riders hukua na umoja Fulani

A union that unites and divides

Wakaungana for this guy

Wakageukia makanjo

A two-day cat and mouse chase was in town

Every bodaboda releasing their rage into the city

Two days biashara hazikufanyika

Two days CBD haikuendeka

Total chaos

All because of a bodaboda guy that was passing through town

Without a speaker

Sielewi ni lini kanjo wataskizana na wananchi

Lini watapenda their job without kitu kikogo

Lini watakuwa lenient na makosa madogo

Lini wataungana kuenforce hizi laws without using force

Sielewi mbona walipiga uyo mbaba

Siwaelewi.
