*For saying Nay she was called names
For saying NO she was punched twice
So is saying NO a crime too.
The clouds cried as the sky blew away seeing what had befallen her.
Due to her cruel person of her father,,
, been blown away by her shouts of pain & suffering.
Why me… Why me…….. crying. Not to forget the doubts in her mind — “Should I take my life”
So the government decides to create a taskforce.
Big press conference, Big launch ceremony, and yet
Limited manpower, limited funding and zero follow up
Everyday new reports of dead women in sacks chopped in pieces
but they become another pile of files in the office
And their common response “we shall investigate”.
While mothers and family cry for justice the culprits still walk free.
So the government should stop talking
The government should start working
Working on releasing funds to speed investigations
working on adding manpower on the ground to spread and gain information
Working on strict laws that defend women and their rights
Working on toping security so that women may not feel
scared when walking alone in the streets
So stop the blaming and be accountable
For every life is precious.
