Is Kenyan most Staple food
For as long as I can remember
If not it’s for Manny Kenyans
I come from rift valley
The north rift of the valley
Where farmers depend heavily on maize
For a living and for our people to eat
It hasn’t rained and framers are counting loses
Maize have dried up in the farm before it even grows
I have foreseen a problem next year
Maize and floor will hike prices
Some people already spend on the farm
To sad they are going home empty handed
And this will be an opportunity for government brokers to bring us
Low quality maize in the name of helping
What is the cs for agriculture doing
Or must we wait till it hits hard for us to start acting
I believe the government can do better
I hope it rains to save a little
For our framer’s
Some will be broke and no food
And they will be no cash flow
