WritAfrica

Before he came,

I had a name

Not that you’re familiar with(ok Mano)

My true Identity is “The great Namlolwe”

I am a darling,

The pearl of Africa

Where the story of Nyamgodho wuod Ombare was shared

No one could resist my cast, warm glow

And rays

Sparkling like shimmering diamonds

Of course with a combo of my sibling chieng’

My shores you watched chuech mabeyo flamingos gracefully wading, African mbalakwasi soaring across the sky

Keep an eye for Nyang’ gi Rao as they laze around me

Maybe if you didn’t set your eyes on me,

I would still have a healthy relationship with my sibling river,

You made them rise against me!

Runoff Chemical Wastes from your thriving factories, you allowed!

Not to care about my elusive aquatic companions like ngege, mbuta,Omena

You shattered us all,

Maybe if I didn’t let you in,

You wouldn’t have drained and sucked all my emotions,my sipirituality,my…(cry)

Wasn’t it beautifully perfect?

I loved you so much, gave you a safe space to vent and let it out,

Gave you tranquil and relaxation, chills that ran down your spine, yes I could see from your skin how them goosebumps protruded

Sexy right?

I just wanted to be  loved and cared for beautifully,

Did I rush things?

Did I deserve the degrade?

You dirt my beauty with plastics and leaves,

Which sunk deep to decay,

A once fresh,cool breeze I gave

turned to a foul scent, that chocked my entire eco-family

Mother Nature Weeps, she’s on her knees

My sister  Earth has clothed herself in his red flags

Danced around the warning signs, she puts put,

Jowi!!Jowiii!!Jowi!

I cry for my twin sister YAMO!

I have wounds that can never heal,

And to protect my Eco-Sisters from your cruelty,

Just because you’ve forgotten the things that got you attracted to me,

I will wreck you,Not even soul Ties will rescue you from my wrath,

I will rise my giant waves against, race towards you like benevolent monsters, Roaring hate to devour you!Sink you deep in my bowels, there’ll be nothing sweet down there,I will drown you to Death!!
