The Killer Whale

By Amelia Collines

I am here to tell you a tale of a male killer whale

Swimming and bleeding in the waters of this nations well

Making it pink like ink and unfit to drink from the well

This whale is interfering with our nation’s wealth

NHIF it contaminated so we can’t have good health

Those ridding on the whale say SHA is the way to better health

But SHIF shifted our attention from the real deal now we can’t heal

Come, help me purge this whale from waters of our nation’s well.

That road leading to market is nothing but a thicket

Milk vendors it ties on sight in thick tight bra-cket

They slide wide with no pride spilling the milk from the bucket

Some escape with physical injuries while others kick the bucket

But all suffers from financial injuries because they broke the bucket

The money set to build the road is resting in few people’s pockets

Listen, this is the whale I am talking about…it swims in every docket

And without brain and bargain it drains our nation’s pocket

Come, help me purge this whale from waters of our nation’s well.

Well, for the future generation I wish everything was well

But now we can’t really tell, just the other day we heard CS finance tell

THIS NATION CAN NO LONGER SUPPORT FREE EDUCATION

Yet the president is giving out free millions in Harambees and the stars

Which is not bad, but what should be our priority as a nation aiming for the stars

The future of our nation or pleasing of a few stars

This will unite us for a moment but even Alicia can unite us with ka nini

We are funs but not only….we are the citizens of this nation

Come, help purge this whale from the waters of our nation’s well.

I’d like to tell you more about the whale but you know it well

Remember, remember that relative, that friend that cuzo of yours

Tarmacking looking for a job in government offices

Only to be told to get the job he must pay some bob and buy that job

Is this the ordeal Job went through but still he had faith in God

Unfortunate for us we can’t have faith in our government

So we paid school fees took educational loans only to buy a job

This whale is slowly drowning this nation in the deep end

Come, help me purge this whale from the waters of our nation’s well.

Let’s take a moment

Let’s take a moment as a nation to reflect on our actions

The actions that drives and controls the reactions of this killer whale

If we want to save this nation we must kill the killer whale

Before it kills our dreams as a nation and make us fail

Let this piece of art written from my heart open our eyes as a nation

And make us take a stand against this killer whale called corruption

Come, help me purge this whale from the waters of our nation’s well.
